In my Backyard
The Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020 changed a lot of my plans. I was supposed to lead photo expeditions to Svalbard in March and April, but none of them were possible to run with clients. After some depressing weeks I started to look for other opportunities. With all the travel restrictions, there were no other options than focusing my attention locally – in my backyard.
In Norway, we have a lot of nature, and where I live there is a mixture of cities, agriculture, forests, fjords, and rivers. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I restricted my area to 10 kilometers from home, but I later increased this distance to 40 kilometers – so everything is possible to reach with a maximum of 1 hour of traveling. Below you can see some of my images taken in my backyard, and I hope to motivate some of you to be creative and find areas for photograph close to where you live.
